I decided to make a site for all the artists on the web making www.soundtoys.net. The site features sound toys and multimedia experiments, generative music and new explorations in interactive media. This site explores the parameters of this new media world. Many web technologies are explored including shockwave, flash, vrml, java, and offer insights into the diversive and creative nature of the web available to todays artists.

Soundtoys fuses the new relationship between music and interactivity and allows the audience some control in the perception of the music. This change in the relationship between the audience and the artist will radically change our aesthetic perception and attitude to music and sound. This is a key issue in the new dynamics of interactive multimedia. Soundtoys exist as art, toys, games, generative music, interactive environments, shockwaves, environments etc. Soundtoys is a new resource and fun site. Thanks to all those artists who have contributed, helped, offered advice particularly. A website for new experiments in audio visual entertainment, sound and interactive art.

This site is now gaining worldwide exposure. In addition to our online presence, Soundtoys is being promoted at numerous other festivals. The site has been reviewed at Sonar, on Sonify, in the Independent, and on Engish TV. Soundtoys has also been exhibted at international festivals including den Hague film festival Holland, and Zeppelin in Barcelona. It will also be featured at Garage in Germany

Soundtoys also organsied an artists talk at ther ICA when artists presented their work in an open forum situaton.
Soundtoys is also involved in the new 'open digi' digital artists talks in South London. The first of which was streamed live when Stanza made a performance and spoke about his work. As well as forming its own new media events a collaborations under the name 'the lab' is also in development.

Soundtoys is also liasing with other institutions worldwide and book and cdrom is in development. Soundtoys also links extensively to sites on the world wide web, and to sites were research into the various areas of sound, music, and audiovisual art may be explored.
