Infinite Potential. 2023

Inspired by the the connections computers make in binary. A wall based work with PCB and speakers speaking binary.

Infinite Potential: This artwork began with hundreds of small PCB boards all the same, each defined by those hypnotic patterns gold on green. Once having specific purpose, these boards now have no connection to their original source of information. They stand redundant with nothing to send, nowhere to send it. What lost them their purpose? What caused them to be scrapped? Looking now at these hundreds of boards, could these patterns be used to relay other kinds of information? Can we read their pattern’s language, and use it to express some new kind of story? Here we see nothing at work, but in this pattern we can sense its vast and powerful latent energy. What could it do? What can you see? Here before you lies nothing and everything all at once.

Infinite Potential. What would it take to give it your purpose? Speak it out in its language - binary, the simplest of forms.
