The algorithm re-interprets oil paintings to create an alternative version of these famous paintings. This artificially intelligent system scans the galler to re intpret art history in a contemporary context. The paintings on screen are always new and the experience is never the same. The code creates the selection and the machine enables you see a new painting.

Exhibition
Millions of new paintings are made during the exhibition of this series of artworks. Each algorithm maps out a series of events and ways to handle the incoming images that are then displayed as the output or finished results on the screen. This series of artworks focuses solely on making art from art. It becomes a self referential remixing and re-composition system giving endless variations time after time. Best viewed in a gallery on a whole series of plasma screens.
Availability
To be exhibited at a gallery on a bank of up to plasma or LCD screens as an installation. Each is available as a signed artwork and comes on a cd rom which includes an offline version of the artwork and the artists software system.
